Courses & Lectures

 I offer a range of courses, lectures and workshops specialising in freehand machine embroidery and related creative stitching techniques. Weekly courses offer an intensive exploration into the creative world of Machine Embroidery.

Get to know your sewing machine and use it as a drawing tool to create individual designs. One day workshops are on offer throughout the South East at:- Brighton, Sussex:- Puddleducks, Sevenoaks, Kent:- Making Space, Havant, Hampshire:- Sussex Guild Event Room, Southover Grange, Lewes, Sussex.

Residential courses are on offer at West Dean College, Chichester, West Sussex, and as a freelance tutor and lecturer, I travel nationwide, visiting groups and guilds. (see below for details of available courses)

Architecture provides the inspiration for this course. Freehand Machine Embroidery and other skills are explored and developed as you create unique designs inspired by architecture in the Mar Menor region. Fabrics will be applied in layers to create designs, which will be painted and worked into with freehand machine embroidery.
